Shadow Form

Shadow Form explores the complex relationship and intricate bond we share with our bodies. Our physical form was not something we chose, but it remains a constant companion—a vessel through which we navigate the world and articulate our consciousness.  The artist interviewed community members as models for these drawings. Then, the artist used movement, composition, and contrast to capture aspects of the model’s body narrative. This collection serves as both a catalyst for dialogue and a means of discovering common ground among fellow humans.

This collection has been exhibited at the Rochester Pop-UP in 2024, Historic Chateau Theatre in 2022, and the Rochester Art Center in 2020 in Rochester, MN. All works are approximately 7ft by 3.5ft, charcoal on paper.
