Drawing the Self
This collection explores complexities of body dysmorphia, self-perception, and identity. Through large scale expressive drawings, I seek to provoke thoughtful discussions about how we perceive our own bodies, how others perceive us, and how these perspectives often clash. The drawings invites viewers to engage with the internal struggles of self-image, expressed solely through the medium of drawing. An exploration of body dysmorphia is at the core—a condition that distorts one's self-image and physical appearance. The work delves into the tension between how individuals see themselves and how they believe they are seen by others. This disconnect is a central theme that will be visually articulated through abstract, distorted representations of the human form, reflecting the often disorienting experience of living with body dysmorphia.
